Our proprietary Featured Pick is generated by a multi-factor mathematical model that scans the entire BDC universe to identify high-quality income opportunities with institutional-grade scale. The selection logic is based on the following weighted criteria:
- Institutional Scale: Only BDCs managing a minimum of $2.0 Billion in total assets are considered, ensuring portfolio diversification and liquidity.
- Income Threshold: Candidates must maintain a trailing twelve-month (TTM) yield exceeding 8.0%.
- Valuation Efficiency (P/NAV): The model favors tickers trading at or below Net Asset Value (NAV). High premiums are penalized in the score.
- Yield Composition: The score accounts for both base and special dividends, prioritizing consistent earners.
